The Fun Zone Activities

Course Q and A

A. Yes you can avoid them if you don’t fancy them or just want to get as many laps as possible. Think of it like a “motorway” with junctions (it will be laid out as such). Take the junction and do the activity and then re-join the route. Or bypass a junction if you don’t fancy that activity and just keep on truckin’.
A. Not at all. The emphasis is on fun and that means you do what you want, when you want. You can do some laps where you try and do all the zones, other laps where you do none of the fun stuff and some laps where you mix n’ match.
A. No, not at all. There will be some folk who want to do that of course, but the emphasis of this event is on fun and participation as a group or family. Do as many or as few laps as you wish. That may mean 1. It may mean 10. Your total laps will be recorded every time you step across the start and finish lines.
A. Under 5s are not charged to accompany a relative on the course. They will need to be accompanied on the route by an adult that has entered the event and has a valid wristband. We suggest that parents and guardians may consider using buggies or carrying small children during busy times and always remain vigilant of runners that are overtaking. It is up to the parents if they wish their under 5s to do the on-course Fun Zones. Please follow our instructions and signs on the day so we can provide a clear and safe route for all runners. Ultimately the safety of children is the responsibility of parents and guardians.
